Kids’ Birthday Adventure

Kids, your birthday is on us! Come and enjoy a complementary adventure on Intaka Island during your birthday month.

It’s our 30th birthday this year and we’re spreading the joy to our Little Explorers. Kids aged 17 and under can enjoy the following throughout their birthday month.

Our Kids’ Birthday Adventure includes the following complementary activity package:

General admission
Guided walk
Boat ride

Eligibility & Verification

Age Qualification: This offer applies exclusively to children aged 17 years and under.
Birth Month Validation: The offer is valid on any day during the child’s actual birth month (e.g., a child born on 14 September can redeem the offer on any single date between 1 September and 30 September).
Proof of Identity: Proof of birth date must be presented at the Intaka Island Visitor Reception Desk upon entry. Acceptable forms of documentation include:

South African ID Book / Card
Birth Certificate
Valid Passport
Official School ID card indicating full date of birth

Campaign Inclusions & Booking Requirements

Included Activities: The Kids’ Birthday adventure package includes the following complementary activity package: General admission, guided walk and boat ride. This is a combined package and activities cannot be split up over more than one visit.
Advanced booking of Boat Ride and Guided Walk: Advance booking is essential for the boat rides and guided walks to ensure availability of a ranger and a seat on a boat.
Adult Supervision Required: To qualify for free admission and activities, the birthday child must be accompanied by at least one full-paying adult or an adult with an Intaka Island membership.

Important Note

Exclusions: The complementary package does not cover:

Accompanying adults or additional children who are not celebrating their birthday (standard rates apply).
Specialised private eco-workshops or private venue hires.
School excursion groups or pre-booked group birthday parties.

Frequency: Each eligible child is entitled to one Kids’ Birthday Adventure during their birthday month per calendar year.

General Terms

Non-Transferable: Free admission and activity passes are non-transferable, non-refundable, and cannot be exchanged for cash, vouchers, or alternative goods/services.
Cashless Policy Notice: Please note that Intaka Island operates as a strictly cashless facility. Any additional ticket purchases (e.g., accompanying adult entry or extra boat tickets) must be settled via card or digital payment methods.
Right of Admission: Management reserves the right to refuse entry or request additional proof of identity if eligibility criteria are not satisfactorily met.
Amendments: Intaka Island reserves the right to alter, suspend, or terminate this promotion or update these Terms & Conditions at any time with prior public notification.
